The FADER Interview
I launched The FADER Interview podcast in 2021, when lockdowns made in-person interviews impossible. I worked as the Executive Producer and appeared as a recurring host through it’s 100+ episode run. The episodes below are five of my favorites.
Damon Albarn
Before the release of Gorillaz’ latest album Cracker Island, Albarn called in from his studio in London to talk about the blurry line between reality and cartoon fiction.
Tiësto
Sat in his hotel room before yet another show to hundreds of thousands of fans, the populist Dutch DJ remembered his late friend Avicii. “I wish I had more time to talk to him about what was bothering him,” he told me. “I feel like maybe I could’ve helped him get out of that.”
Tom DeLonge
The Blink-182 and Angels & Airwaves frontman’s publicist specifically told us not to talk about aliens. About three minutes in, DeLonge started digging into the unknown, the likelihood that the Star of Bethlehem was a UFO, and the ways consciousness can manipulate matter.
Alicia Keys
An hour-long conversation with the 15-time Grammy-winning singer-songwriter about expectations, creativity, and making music with her young son.
Action Bronson
We set this interview up to talk about his new album, Cocodrillo Turbo, but things took a turn almost immediately. He riffs on hedonism, body boarding, and weightlifting, but most importantly introduces me to the word “fucksome.”
